Lok Sabha Expels TMC MP Mahua Moitra Over 'Cash For Query'

The Lok Sabha on Friday (December 8) passed a resolution to expel Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra based on the Report of the Ethics Committee over 'cash for query' complaint allegation upon her.

Om Birla said, "...This House accepts the conclusions of the Committee that MP Mahua Moitra's conduct was unethical and inappropriate. So ,it is not appropriate for her to continue as an MP and she has to be expelled from the House". The resolution was adopted in a voice vote.

The Political Circle has divided view with regards to the expulsion of TMC MP.
